I'm back again on a Tuesday to share a part of our online supper club...this time "drinks". I'm not too sure why I signed up for drinks to be honest because I'm not fancy. I can crack a beer and cork wine and drink it like a pro. But for the sake of why the hell not, I decided to start coming up with a collection of drinks I could use over the holidays whilst we have company. You can follow me on Pinterest if you want to see what I'm curating. Since I had some pumpkin defrosting in the fridge, I decided this to test a pumpkin drink, so we did the Hot Buttered Pumpkin Rum.
It took me maybe 5 minutes to make the butter concoction (which now sits in the fridge until I want another one) (which is right meow). It was also perfect for a -40 degree night by the fire (which also happens to be right meow too).
What are you drinking over Christmas?
Hop on over to Sarah's blog to see what kind of easy peasy appetizer she put together for us.

You do know I am about salivating on the screen. YOU know my love of pumpkin and cocktails and add rum and I'm in heaven. Printing this off and making for an after work drink tonight, lol!!!

ReplyDeleteThere is a soft spot in my heart for the captain. We used to be pretty serious about each other :P.
ReplyDeleteYum! Maybe I'll surprise my family and make a holiday drink this year!
ReplyDeleteAnnnnddd? Was it good? I have some pumpkin in my fridge and my hubby loves rum! If you say it was good we are giving it a try!
ReplyDeleteWe are pretty simple at our house, too - beer and wine. And, all the liquor we use for cooking... Pumpkin and rum sounds good...

Oh my sweet goodness, this sounds amazing! I think I need to make this ASAP!
ReplyDeleteI'm a beer and wine girl too (as you well know) BUT I think I could make some room for this in my life... if YOU were here and making it for me ;)
ReplyDeletePrinting this off to make for myself over the holidays. I get to the liquor store and don't have my recipes, can't open Pinterest on my phone and wind up buying the same old bottle of Bailey's. This will be a refreshing change.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I should have included my review of it too. Le oops. If you like a hot toddy then you'll like this. It's a very cozy drink.
ReplyDeleteI'm a wine girl too but I love a good cocktail once in awhile. This sounds perfect for a chilly evening!

Parfait. Merci.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I'm intrigued by this, Deena! I'm usually just a wine girl, too, but occasionally I get fancy during the holidays. I may have to whip this up.
