I have been wearing clothes, kinda and I have been taking pictures. I just haven't been blogging it. So now that I'm on the blog bandwagon, I do have some fun stuff to share and am even feeling motivated to take better pictures. Or not.
So let's have some fun- today's post is themed around the top 2 outfits that I wore on vacation in beautiful British Columbia a couple weeks ago.
Outfit #1- my new favourite skirt and swing tank. Paired with birks and Sanibel pennant. Also, I get tons of questions about my glasses. I won them in a giveaway on Vanessa's blog...they aren't available anymore but I sure love these..
It was a comfy enough outfit to climb fences and talk to horses with the kids over at my Uncle's place. I also wore this outfit travelling to Calgary Day 1.

Outfit 2 is my new bathing suit. Yup, me in a bathing suit. I hummed and haaed over this one (hence the weird and tense face in picture) and in the effort of being body positive and not hiding in shame because I'm not some unattainable and unrealistic version of myself that would never fit my body structure anyway, I thought to hell with it- here is me in my bathing suit, world. Eff it, I'm too old and life is too short to worry what others' think. Also, I love this bathing suit and would wear it everyday. Sadly for your inner 80s or 90s child, it's sold out from Simons.
So there you have it, my top 2 outfits, which are actually the ones that I wore the most also, because I don't have pictures of anything else. Oops...we'll try again next week. #heyitssummer

You in a bathing suit, love it and your whole entire attitude about it.
ReplyDeleteLooking hot, looking relaxed and literally the perfect suit and vacay outfit!! Cool, comfy, chic and you look so happy!! If it wasn't getting close to the end of summer, I'd be shopping for a sleek, black one piece, on my list for next spring cause that suit is sooo cute, no wonder it sold out!
ReplyDeleteYour first outfit is so stylish and looks comfy too! Perfect for vacation! Your one piece is adorable!

I just love the skirt in your first outfit! I've seen it before in a post I think and I loved it then! Your suit is so cute too!
ReplyDeleteI like your bathing suit -- simplicity is key for me in this area. Kudos to you for sharing yourself like that -- brave is the new beauty :)
ReplyDeleteI remember when you bought the bathing suit..... Maybe I'll post a picture of my new one to because it is bound to be a favorite in Kelowna!
ReplyDeleteYou look great!! Own it woman! Plus that suit is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. My sentiments were the same this year....I don't care about me in a bathing suit; I love to swim and want to be with my kids in the water and it is hot out! I'm at my heaviest ever this year but life is too short to not do the things I love, so I spent all my holidays in my bathing suit. Only mine didn't look like I had Kim Kardashians nice butt like yours :) (Carm xo)
ReplyDeleteThat first outfit looks so comfortable, perfect for traveling and adventuring! Love the skirt. And you certainly have NOTHING to be worried about donning a bathing suit on here- that one looks great on you!
