Comforting things

2017 in review

If I had to name a few favourites of the year, they would be as follows:

Food : hotdogs and smores by any campfire, paired with a chelada, a pooldate, a sunset and some friends.

Book: I read 61 books this year (you can see all of them here) but my favourite was, based simply on the book that spoke to me the most...either A Man Called Ove or the last book I read, A Christmas at the Little Beach Street Bakery which is from a trilogy and an author my sister got me reading (Jenny Colgan)..she has tons of great books which I will tackle in the upcoming year.

Trip: Hands down Scotland with my family.  You wouldn't need to ask me twice to move there.

Moment: Finding the perfect oasis of land and buying it.  I seriously can't wait to get out there and enjoy the peace and quiet that it will bring.

Memory: Anything with my kids, but after having looked through all my pictures from the year, I think that first day of school was the best.  They were so excited to be taking the bus with their cousins, plus it was Addy's first day...and I got to hang with my sister, I dunno...just made me proud of the little kids we are raising.

And, as I do every year- I compiled a video of our year...this year isn't my best made but it'll do.  Happy New Year!
