Month Review in Numbers: November Link Up

Welcome back for our month review in numbers link up, looking at the going-ons of our lives, using numbers to review them.  Make sure you link up your review post and check out some of the creative and super busy ladies who link up!

In our home this past month we:

Bought all of the Christmas presents for around 12 people.  I shall be wrapping them this week and then I can move on to enjoying some downtime in December.

We put up our giant tree and strung 1000 warm white lights.

bags packed by Lucia because she's 6 going on 16 and was mad at me. Oy.  Parenting in November has been a challenge, but a good one as it has given me a chance to really put everything aside and concentrate on the betterment of my kids.

With that, I will add that we had 1 trip to minor emerg so Lucia could get stitches from a nasty spill she had in Canadian Tire.  Willis felt horribly as he "accidentally" tripped her, so we had some great conversations from that and lessons learned.  The poor boy was green to the face watching his sister get stitches.

Books read in November and a new one started (Fantastic Beasts).  I have a feeling the number of books I read in December will be even higher...something about sitting by a tree with the fireplace on that just makes me want to read, read, read!  As for these books, they were all good but not awesome. I wouldn't re-read any of them.  Speaking of which, I need to stop buying books that I won't read again...like all of these.  One of my goals for 2017 is to use the library more.  Less stuff.

weekend away in Seattle for me to visit my friend, Lana.

6+ hours spent watching the Gilmore Girls revival.

sleepover with our nephew and nieces...I love having those kids over, they are so dang cute and Willis and Lucia adore having time with their cousins.  I especially loved the snuggles from Jamison at bed time. 1 Christmas cooking date with Lucia.  We made 96 Rice Krispie marshmallows for my Splurge baking exchange.

supper sushi date with my kids.  Willis can polish off at least  24 cucumber rolls by himself.  He's a monster.

Lastly, my favourite thing this month- I bought 4 dinner plates in my Grams' china pattern and serving platter. Now our Sunday night fancy family dinner nights are more reminiscent and meaningful.  After the inaugural meal, Willis said: Mom, you really outdid yourself with this one.

Cute. Wait until he sees New Years' Eve....

Thanks for stopping by my Month Review in Numbers, I'm going to be posting tomorrow in a fun blog hop : progressive meals gone digital.  Okay, I just made up that name but it will be fun.  Our theme is "holiday parties" and I'm going to share a traditional French Canadian dish that we serve every Christmas.

  11. This is such a fun post! I have so much to comment on....
Your tree and mantle are beautiful! It looks so cozy!
I LOVE that china pattern. It's beautiful, and I adore that it has a sentimental meaning to you.
Your Gilmore Girls sweatshirt is perfect! I haven't watched the revival yet, because I am re-watching the original series to refresh my memory, but I can't wait to see it!!!
Your sushi date is precious. My husband and I are huge sushi fans, but I am avoiding introducing it to our kids, because I think they'll eat their weight in sushi.
