Oh, it's my favourite post of the year. Or second favourite at least. I love taking peaks into other homes and see how they have festooned their worlds for Christmas and now it's your turn to jump into mine. Christmas decorations are the perfect coupling for our cold, cold winter nights/days/allthetime that we've been getting in Saskatchewan. Yay for a polar vortex in December with no snow. The days are shorter and colder and there's no better way than to spend them curled up with cozy twinkly lights.
I decided to do a video of our home instead this year and then instantly regretted it once I saw how awkward I look on video...ah well. Here is my home:

And much like my hair, style, furniture setting, taste in music...my Christmas decor changes each year too and I seem to love it more as I go, so you can see what different arrangements we've had. The tree has yet to stay in one place.

So beautiful and cozy. I need to start collecting my cards by year too!
ReplyDeleteYour video turned out great! What a cute idea to hang cards on the tree and I also love the ribbon ladder you made for cards. I think I might have to replace all of our photos with ones from previous Christmas'. Your home is so cozy and festive!

I can't get the video to load for some reason but might be the connection here - wi-fi isn't the fastest. I do like what I can see in the pictures though, that wreath over the sofa looks great! Hope the colder darker days are bearable with all the pretty lights and cosiness inside your home :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great start to the week :)

Wow, just wow. I whistled all the way through the video. That music choice was perfect. You are so dear to have galleries for your children's art. Your tree is so grand and grown-up and elegant but then the children's trees are playful and fun. Wish I had thought to give my babies trees in their rooms. Beautiful from start to finish, from top to bottom.
ReplyDeleteP.S. That banner across your first pictures on your home page is so attractive. Great new detail to your blog design.
ReplyDeleteHouse looks great can't wait to make some adjustments muahahahh
ReplyDeleteOh Deena what a great video and gorgeous home. Not awkward at all. I love the mantle the best and that Noel sign. I love the wreath right next to the picture frames and all the personal touches with many photos displayed everywhere (love the ribbon ladder) and the books of cards on your gorgeous golden tree. Cannot wait to do my home tour soon. Thanks for such a great post.
