This past weekend was spent decorating the house for Christmas, somehow it has become an entire weekend process. The house gets a good cleaning, the furniture is moved around and it is magically transformed into a cozy Christmas abode.
One of our longest running traditions is the Christmas village. When we were first married on Dec 27th, we decided that for every year we would add a piece. So needless to say after 12 years, the village has grown considerably.
This year we picked out a Chocolate Factory to add to our collection and after moving it around the house way too many times, I found the perfect spot.

LOVE your village!! My mom took over mine and proudly displays it every year. Yours is to die for gorgeous and love the blue console so much!!! The chocolate shop...makes me smile!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your village. That was pretty much the best idea ever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Christmas village and a great tradition to have! :) My mum always buys us decorations for the tree every year, since we outgrew making them at church haha! She's going to need a bigger tree soon...this village seems a lot easier to scale up as the years pass!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend decorating :)

My kids would love this! We have a village on our ledge and if it wasn't for space I'd be joining your tradition. Grady begged to buy the chocolate factory yesterday at Canadian Tire. Is that where yours is from?

ReplyDeleteThat's such a fun tradition to look forward to every year. Someday you'll have to devote a whole room of your house to the Christmas village!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition! I definitely add at least one decor piece each year, but it varies. This is a much more fun idea!

So jealous! I've always wanted to start a Christmas village. Maybe it's time!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love Christmas Villages!!! My mom would set up a small one when I was a kid and I loved it. I love going to Michael's because they always have cute Christmas village houses (they also have them for Halloween but thats another story). There is something about it that pulls at your imagination. This inspires me to start my own. :)
