Fitness and me through ecards.


Linking up today with the LifeStyle Sistas, who really are the Style Me Bloggers but in general are just a bunch of ladies that I really, really, really like.  Like a lot.

So today we're talking fitness tidbits. Yikes.  I'm going to be brave today and tell you some secrets that I've only had breakdowns about with my closest friends, sister and husband.
I gained all my baby weight back.
With no baby to show :(
So. Sad.
How could I lose it all and then have it magically sneak back over the course of 2 years.
Okay, really, I know the answer to that.
And I know how to fix it.

I have goals and I'm competitive, which are both going to help me in my (hopeful) healthy lifestyle change. (As I type this, I'm on my third glass of wine. Oops)


But hey, my dietician sister is living with us, and that has drastically changed how I eat.  She rocks.
AND I'm also half way through week 4 of the Insanity workout program which hasn't been easy, but luckily my bro-in-law is doing it it's fun to see him suffer and sweat as well.  And then Dan has started his healthy regime too, so there's even more support.
I know I can do, I just have to keep reminding myself that.

So no, I don't have any huge fitness tidbits for you, but rather a peak into my struggles and maybe an accountability check for me, if anything.
I know I can do this.  I've done it before.
Also, new clothes are always fun :) Shaunacey, that means a shopping trip to Toronto, during Jays season. With Jordan.

  1. Why is it so hard to get rid of weight and so easy to put it back on? Arggh. I can spend two weeks losing a pound and gain three back over a really yummy weekend. I'm impressed that you're doing insanity- I want to try it, but I think I'm too old - I think I'd get hurt :)!

  3. Good for you doing insanity. I have no clue what it is, but I know by the name I'd likely be too wimpy for it! This is a hard time of year to start a fitness quest. I am so proud of you. Glad you have so much support in your house! I will cheer you on from the sidelines until April and then you will have to drag my butt off the couch. I will have a shopping trip to get in shape for!!!

  4. I woke up on my 33rd birthday and noticed that everything on my body had shifted south. In the last year or so, as I have finally survived menopause, I realize my once semi-flat stomach is no longer and where there used to be muscle in my legs and arms, there isn't so much anymore. I am trying to get back to Weight Watchers and regular exercising but it seems harder than ever. I applaud you gals for your dedication and hard work. Hope you will inspire me to get back in shape.

  5. You are in better shape than you are letting on if you can do the Insanity workout! Good for you. I love the ecards... especially the hunger games one! lol!
