Fall challenge- le deux

Welcome to the second week in the wonderful world of a fall fashion wannabe.   The weather in Sask has been stellar and cooperating, unlike the Spring Challenge and  I could actually pull off the outfits that Alison suggested.  Read- it hasn't snowed.

1) Wednesday Alison said:  plaid shirt, tassel necklace, dark denim, ankle boots.
I did:  old plaid shirt (Old Navy), old Gap jeggings, old Gap brown puffer for the am, Stella Dot sanibel pendant and my new ankle boots (Hush Puppies, found in NYC). (yay me)

Confession- I'm not sure I love this look on me.  I think it's mostly the leggings with the boots. I feel my legs need to be longer.

2) Thursday Alison said: dressy sweater, boyfriend jeans, leopard print shoes.
I said: New Michael Kors Glitter Poncho (NYC find)  (it has a removable fur scarf thing, which I removed and snapped a picture then promptly deleted. I have concluded that it looks way better with the fur)  Vigoss skinny jeans and Joie Plaid loafers (Nordstrom Rack- NYC).  The wallet is from DSW in NYC also...ahhhh that was a great visit to Union Square

3) Friday, Alison said: layering t, long cardigan, grey jeans, plaid scarf & ankle boots
I said it was about time I tried to wear the fur vest (new, Simons) out in public.  I paired with Shaeffer's must have black top and grey jeans from H&M, oh and my old Blowfish black booties.  The handbag is my find in NYC, Tory Burch.

Confession, I didn't wear this out in public.  I was not feeling brave. Sad smiley face.

Saturday Alison said: neutral sweater, plaid scarf, dark denim and riding boots
I did a neutral sweater (new, H&M), purple infinity scarf (old, Simons) a plaid clutch (got it in Scotland), dark jeggins (old, Gap), tall brown boots (old, from Just Fab) and one of the best finds in Edmonton, the woolies boot socks (Simons)

I wish my legs were longer. FYI.

Sunday Alison said: long cardigan, striped t, grey jeans and leopard flats.
I didn't leave the house...but if I did, I would have worn this:  black cardigan (old, Simons) red striped dress (I KNOW! A DRESS..never ever would I ever) (Kensie), grey jeggings from H&M and polka dotted converse (an outlet find in Vegas)
Kyla bought the exact same dress/shirt as me.  We are twinnies quite often. Too bad our feet aren't the same size

Monday Alison said: plaid shirt, military jacket, boyfriend jeans and ankle boots.
I hit up the zoo with my cousin, Renee who is also doing the challenge.
Plaid shirt (old, Old Navy), Military jacket (DKNY from Winners), white boyfriend jeans (Kut, from Winners) and tweed booties (Dirty Laundry from DSW)

i felt the need to take my white jeans for a last hoorah in the park before I transition them into my version of Canadian camo.

Tuesday Alison said: Dressy sweater, striped T black leggings/jeans, leopard flats.
I did another (surprise surprise) oversized sweater from H&M..this time navy, one of my favourite finds in Edmonton- the plaid leggings (Simons. Same. Same) and my nude Sam Edelman flats (old)
yes, there is a dog print on my sweater.  Coco and Britney were happy to get outside, what can I say

Et voilà, I'm feeling put together and comfortable and am able to personalize these outfits quite easily to suit my style. Good times!
Check out what my new bloggiefriends have come up with for outfits this week!

Sunshine inspired fashion

Today I'm showing you the first outfit I got on my trip to Scotland/England and it just happens to be in one of my favourite colours....yes, yellow.  I also put together some of my fave yellow picks on the interwebs for you in the above link.

I have posted a few of my fave yellow pieces before like the one with the blazer  or the one with the yellow shoes and jacket and then there is also this bag that I got in Vegas last year that always makes me swoon....

Anyway, I'm rambling....today's outfit is a dress, but you'll have to hop over to the Blended Blog to see it. Muahahahahha...here's sneak peak.

A blogger meet up in Toronto

It was like a weekend long blind date...... e-Harmony but for friends..... Possibly one of the craziest things I've done..... But I spent the weekend with 10 other women whom I met online. Well, except for my real life bestie on the far right. We have a group of 14 bloggers who have been collabing since the spring of 2014 and what first was simple blog fun has quickly become a sisterhood.   Last year we met in Vegas, this year we settled for Toronto and had 11 members.
Trip highlights include a bus trip with wine and Niagara Falls, a walking tour of downtown Toronto, plenty of great meals, a shopping adventure and rooftop hot tubs at night.  I could go into the details, but for me, the actual trip to Toronto wasn't why I went...the Jays weren't even playing. What brings me the most joy about this trip is the fact that women from all walks of life, all ages (we had 30, 40 and 50 somethings) with a gamut of different interests took a leap of faith and traveled to meet women…

London 1

Sunday/Monday was a blur.   It went from cruising around Toronto (that means shopping) with the little group of Blended Bloggers that were left over to heading to the airport to meet Dan and the kids then to an overnight flight to Dublin and then another 2ish hour flight to London.  At least the kids slept an hour or two, but I couldn't do it.   Currently in zombie mode.   When we got to our hotel (MalMaison Charterhouse Square) we had to nap. Well I had to anyway before I started losing it.   After an hour long family nap, Dan headed to work and I decided to take the kids out on an adventure in the neighbourhood.  We're only 850 metres from St. Paul's Cathedral and I hadn't visited it last time I was here so it was an easy pick. First I had to devise a plan to keep them engaged and because Pokemon is all they ever want, it was an easy bait.  The deal was that if they came and learned something with me, they got to have some Pokemon time in the area. It worked like a …
