Work Wear Challenge. Le Deux.

Alright, I admit it, most days I resort to my work uniform of lulus, a bunnyhug and slippers. I also admit that somedays I only get dressed up because of this challenge.  At the moment, nothing is calling me out of the house but that will change once Willis starts school TODAY.  With that said, let's hope I get my shiznit together and am looking presentable for my grade 2er.
Here's what I've been up to this past week:

Wednesday = cardigan, white button down, printed pants, statement necklace and leopard shoes.

Thursday: grey pants, bright blouse, cardi, statement watch.

Friday = blazer, oxford, jeans, statement necklace, leopard belt and bright flats.

Monday = printed blouse, khaki/gray pants, long necklace and colour block/neutral shoes

Tuesday = blazer, lightweight sweater, black pants, long necklace and colour block/neutral shoes

And as always, check and see what my blogfriends have been up to!  See you next week.

  4. You look fabulous in your "not leaving the house" outfits! I especially love the one with the green flats (and your little photo bomber is really cute)! I think I could employ you full time as stylist/interior designer. I will be calling as soon as I win the lottery. Hope Willis' first day of school was great!

on Tracy.

I've had some time over the past couple days to take a walk back through my life while revisiting all the photos and remembering old moments. It has become a part of the process I need in order to say good-bye- it's almost like I relive my life through my memories of who that person was to me so that I can fully understand the impact they had on my life.
On Sunday heaven gained a shining star: our cousin, Tracy, passed away unexpectedly.  Tracy was young, she was vibrant, she was a creator, a dreamer, a free-spirit.  Her death is still a shock and it leaves such a huge hole in many lives.
Growing up, Tracy was that older cousin I always looked up to.  She was stuck babysitting me while I was busy admiring her gorgeous thick, curly hair, her social butterfly status and determined confidence.  I have so many memories from our frequent visits to Edmonton to hang out with my cool, older cousins. All three of them (Tracy has two older sisters- Tisa and Glenna) were the perfect f…

Sunshine inspired fashion

Today I'm showing you the first outfit I got on my trip to Scotland/England and it just happens to be in one of my favourite colours....yes, yellow.  I also put together some of my fave yellow picks on the interwebs for you in the above link.

I have posted a few of my fave yellow pieces before like the one with the blazer  or the one with the yellow shoes and jacket and then there is also this bag that I got in Vegas last year that always makes me swoon....

Anyway, I'm rambling....today's outfit is a dress, but you'll have to hop over to the Blended Blog to see it. Muahahahahha...here's sneak peak.

A blogger meet up in Toronto

It was like a weekend long blind date...... e-Harmony but for friends..... Possibly one of the craziest things I've done..... But I spent the weekend with 10 other women whom I met online. Well, except for my real life bestie on the far right. We have a group of 14 bloggers who have been collabing since the spring of 2014 and what first was simple blog fun has quickly become a sisterhood.   Last year we met in Vegas, this year we settled for Toronto and had 11 members.
Trip highlights include a bus trip with wine and Niagara Falls, a walking tour of downtown Toronto, plenty of great meals, a shopping adventure and rooftop hot tubs at night.  I could go into the details, but for me, the actual trip to Toronto wasn't why I went...the Jays weren't even playing. What brings me the most joy about this trip is the fact that women from all walks of life, all ages (we had 30, 40 and 50 somethings) with a gamut of different interests took a leap of faith and traveled to meet women…
