What's up Wednesday

Mommy Diaries: Rae

Raelene was one of my favourite people in University and I'm pretty sure if we lived in the same city that I'd be at her house all the time, soaking up the sweetness that she is. I really need to see her sometime soon. Trip to Edmonton, anyone???

Rae and her babes: Gavin and Brianna

1-Things your kids do to make you smile (action, something they say...)
Gavin is almost 21 months old and watching him develop his vocabulary is awesome. My favorite is definitely "wuv oo" (love you)! What a heart breaker, especially when he says it when I am putting him to bed! Brianna is four and is quite the entertainer with her dances and improv songs! Doesn't matter what kind of a day I have, when I come home and look at them I feel blessed and smile!

2- Favourite vacation place with family (can be near or far, realistic or dreamlike, as specific as you want) We bought a trailer last summer so we enjoyed quite a few weekends camping together (rain or shine). It was great family time playing games and colouring inside or outside blowing bubbles and running around at the beach.

3- How you would spend a rainy day at home (with your kids). Baking, crafts, tea parties with stuffed animals, and playing cars, or as Gavin says "Play vroom!"

4- What you do to survive the long winters.
Playdates, indoor parks, and as much time outside building snowmen and stuff as the weather permits.

5- What kind of traditions are you creating for Christmas.
So far we do an annual gingerbread house making day as well as sugar cookie decorating all together as a family. Gotta have that picture with all of our tongues blue from icing!

6- If you were to have one entire day, alone in your house, how would you spend it?
 Probably cleaning and scrapbooking.
