Fall Home Tour

Mommy Diaries: Annick

I often wonder how different my life would be had I lived in Montreal like I had dreamed. 3 months chez Annick on la rive sud had me hooked. Although I didn't end up in Montreal, I do enjoy hearing about Annick's french adventures and can't wait until we start making trips up there to reinforce our kid's second language and do some serious bonding with my Quebecois family. Voici Annick. PS. When I read this I read with a french accent:

Annick & Jean-Michel,  et leurs enfants Rapheal et Olivianne.

1-Things your kids do to make you smile: Raphaël is a serial charmer with women and it always makes me smile. I also love when Olivianne transforms a word that gives a sentence a whole new and funny meaning.

2- Favourite vacation place with family: We are looking forward to a family vacation in Disney sometime in the future, went several times as a kid with my parents and the memories are still vivid thirthy something years later;) Olivianne always gets excited when there is a Disney add up on tv, and I am sure the anticipation will make this trip evenmore magical!!! In the meantime, we spend a week in the Summer in the Mont Tremblant resort up north and we have a blast, so much to do for both kids and parents.

3- How you would spend a rainy day at home (with your kids): Olivianne loves cooking, so my mother-in-law bought her this awesome kids cook book which comes with minitures real cooking ustensils, that's the perfect activity on a rainy day. Raphaël unfortunately can't help yet, but he loves to play along with Daddy with his remote controlled car.

4- What you do to survive the long winters: There is nothing like going for a snow shoe ride with the kids packed up on the Charriot and the dog running like there is no tomorrow in the hood next by our house and getting back home to enjoy a hot chocolate by the fire! This has got to be my all time favorite family activity.
5- What kind of traditions are you creating for Christmas: Olivianne loves to help decorate the Christmas Tree, three times more than one. My mom and my mother-in-law each have her over for a sleep-over when the time comes to put their tree up. My kids are fortunate enought to have 3 sets of grand-parents  and 2 complete sets of great grand-parents, so the Holidays is the perfect time of the year to spend quality time with them all.
6- If you were to have one entire day, alone in your house, how would you spend it? I am actually alone in the house today, but nothing exciting on the forecast, only cleaning, washing, etc. But I would love to catch up on some much needed sleep, if I can get down my list quickly enough;)
