Fall Home Tour

Mommy Diaries: Sara

Sara is a great friend, a beautiful person and a giving mother.  I absolutely adore this woman.

Sara and Aiden
1-Things your kids do to make you smile
Aiden is kinda growing out of this but he wouldn't call animals by their actual name he would call them by the sounds they make.  For example, a cow he'd call a "moo", a sheep would be a "baa", horse would be a "nay", a bear, lion, tiger, dinosour would be a "roar", we struggled with a zebra and giraffe cause I don't really know what kind of noises they make...He still calls a rooster a "doodle do".

2- Favourite vacation place with family
We haven't really been many places with Aiden but we did go on a hot holiday to Royal Solaris in Los Cabos last year.  It was a 5 hour flight but the resort was right on the beach and had a really fun waterpark for kids with animal theamed slides, which was perfect for Aiden who is an animal lover.  There was also an arcade which Aiden was too young for but older kids would have liked.  Major con of this vacation place was they did not serve food between the times of 4:30-6 which is when Aiden normally eats supper.  We'll probably go back but mostly because the in-laws have a time share there.

3- How you would spend a rainy day at home
Watch movies and colour.

4- What you do to survive the long winters.
By getting out of the house as much as possible.  If it is even remotly warm (-10 and warmer) we'll go for a ride on the sled.  Many playdates for change of scenary and signing up for an organized activity like swim lessons to force us to leave the house.

5- What kind of traditions are you creating for Christmas.
Still working on this one.  We are blessed to have all of our family close by so we spend Christmas visiting with family and going from one place to another.  We'll make sure to have a special evening (usually Dec 23rd) that is just us three to celebrate our little family and this usually involves a drive through the enchanted forest.  I really want Aiden to learn the "reason for the season" so we always go to a Church Christmas Eve service.  Santa will most likely NOT have a big role in our Christmas celebrations in years to come.  Right now Aiden has no idea who Santa Claus is and we will allow him to believe in Santa however Santa will have a minor role - Christmas is much more then getting presents!

6. If you were to have one entire day, alone in your house, how would you spend it?
SLEEP, and clean.
