Polar opposites

I've just got back from spending 6 days on what felt like opposite planets.  These vacations couldn't have been more different. Take one.
Rewind to Saturday.  After the aftermass of 2 birthday parties for a very excited 3 year old, the Park family went up to Anglin Lake where we had rented a cabin at the Land of the Loon resort.  The lake is a quiet, pretty lake just outside of Waskesiu.  It has a beautiful little beach and a great playground for kids.  The cabin was nice too, set in a very Twilight-ish forest.  Très relaxing. We chilled, we played, we laughed and had a great time together as a family.  Mom and Dad are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary in September,  and we wanted to get family photos done, so that was kinda our motive, although we don't ever really need a motive to get the Park clan together.  We like each other that much. We took a day trip to Waskesiu and enjoyed the beach and waffle cones there and then ended off a near perfect weekend with family photos by Stuart Kasdorf on Monday morning.  We loved working with Stu at our wedding and wanted to do it again.
Highlights: falling asleep to the sound of loons, the peaceful environment, seeing Willis play on the beach & many beers on the patio.
Lowlights: damn mosquitos.  Seriously.  Someone needs to invent something better than mosquito spray.
